Job Summary:
The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing key accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting compliance activities. This role partners closely with accounting leadership and various departments to maintain strong controls, improve processes, and support decision making.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review monthly and annual financial close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger in accordance with GAAP.
- Maintain supporting schedules and documentation outside of ERP system for Balance Sheet items including Prepaid Expenses, Fixed Assets, Accruals, etc.
- Oversee Sales Tax and Business License compliance including reconciliation, filing, and audit support across multiple jurisdictions.
- Support internal and external audit processes, including preparation of schedules and audit inquiry responses.
- Assist with the preparation of annual budget and manage monthly budget to actual reporting across all departments.
- Serve as business partner across all departments to resolve accounting and tax related issues.
- Assist with special projects related to ad hoc reporting or process implementation.
- Support AR and AP Teams as needed.
- Ability and willingness to travel with multiple overnight stays via airplane, car, or other appropriate means of transportation for business-related purposes. This includes but may not be limited to facility and field visits, vendor visits, continued education, and other business-related activities.
