Dealer Sales Assistant
The Dealer Sales Division within Jerry Pate Turf & Irrigation provides products, services, and operational support to the entire dealer base throughout JPTI’s territory within the Southeastern United States. These products include turf outdoor power equipment, handheld outdoor power equipment, parts, and accessories. JPTI mission is to improve our dealers’ business by offering innovative solutions and challenge their current strategies.
The Dealer Sales Assistant is responsible for assisting the Dealer Sales and Inventory Coordinator while working in a team environment that consistently provides world-class service while achieving and maintaining excellent operational standards, developing, and cultivating customer relationships, effectively partnering with all other lines of business to eliminate obstacles and maximize opportunities.
Primary Duties:
- Assist with preparing of inventory and sales reports as needed.
- Review, update, and/or process sales orders, invoices, or credit memo for dealers or account executives.
- Process dealer or inventory transfers as needed.
- Review, process, and maintenance of dealer records and file to include reviewing and processing new dealers.
- Updating or creating purchase orders.
- Filing overage/shortage claims with vendors.
- Review and process ECHO dealer rebates.
- Assist with special projects or other tasks assigned.
- Review and research dealer inventory discrepancies.
- Ensure all company programs and initiatives are being followed.
- Develop strong working relationships with dealers.

- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business, or an equivalent combination of education and technical/professional experience.
- Customer service or retail experience.
- Possess ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize.
- Demonstrates aggressive, persuasive, and creative problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, organization, and time-management skills.
- Proficient use of word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and e-mail software.
