Jerry Pate Turf & Irrigation is the leading commercial golf & grounds equipment distributor in the Southeast and Midwest. We are seeking an Assistant Controller to join our team in our Pensacola, FL location. This position is responsible for assisting the Chief Financial Officer, working alongside the Controller, in the management of accounting, auditing and budgeting within the company; managing all aspects of the general ledger; providing monthly, quarterly and year-end analysis; supervising and reconciling fixed asset accounting.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA or eligible to sit for the CPA exam preferred; at least 2 years’ experience in accounting; experience in SAP Business One ERP software preferred; solid understanding of GAAP and applicable regulations; ability to multitask in a fast paced environment; excellent communication, organization and time management skills; detail oriented and highly organized; strong problem-solving skills; proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
