Warehouse Operations Associate – Atlanta
Job Summary:
Branch Warehouse Operations and Shipping and Receiving of all products.
Primary Duties:
- Responsible for Warehouse to make sure that it is clean, neat and a safe work environment.
- Responsible that bin locations are kept current and kept clean and neat for all departments.
- Responsible for loading and unloading of all branch shipments and help transfers from other branches to unloaded and checked in on a timely basis.
- Responsible for the shipping and receiving of all branch inventory to ensure orders received by 3pm are shipped the same day if inventory is available.
- Ensures that new inventory/stock is received and put away within 24 hours.
- Generates and processes inter store transfers as needed.
- Inputs in SAP system shipments received and to make sure packing slips and delivery notifications match items checked in. If they differ, notify department managers of any discrepancies.
- Conduct accurate inventory cycle counts within specific time frames.
- Coordinating logistics on shipments of any outgoing shipment to all customers and vendors.
- Knowledgeable on UPS Quantum System or other shipping/manifesting software.
- Ensure the will call area is kept current and the system for calling customers on backorders is maintained.
- Assumes responsibilities of others as the situation warrants such as other departmental tasks when needed.
- Assists with duties in all divisions in the event of an absence.
- Miscellaneous tasks if requested.
Required Qualifications:
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office products, Windows environment, able to understand and operate in company’s SAP system.
- Must be able to lift and move items/packages up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to operate forklifts proficiently.
- Must be High School graduate at minimum and have mathematical aptitude.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. (sense of urgency mentality)
- Excellent verbal, written and creative skills with attention to detail.
